A New Season of Leadership

Ysleta Lutheran Mission Human Care is stepping into an exciting new chapter with the addition of Enrique Davila as Executive Director. A native son of El Paso, Enrique brings decades of leadership experience and a deep love for the community he has served his entire life. His arrival marks a moment of renewed energy, strengthened purpose, and hopeful anticipation for what God is preparing to do through YLM.

In his first weeks with the organization, Enrique has already been moved by what he has seen. “What has impressed me most about YLM is the genuine heart the staff have for serving others. This is more than an organization, it is a mission driven by faith, compassion, and simple acts of kindness that truly change lives.” His words reflect who he is: a leader who notices people first and recognizes the sacredness of everyday service.

Enrique’s professional journey is as rich as it is meaningful. Before joining YLM, he served in key leadership roles across the region, including Chief Executive Officer at the Child Crisis Center, Chief of Compliance at Pecos Children’s Center, Director of Risk and Compliance at Las Cruces Recovery Center, and Administrative Director of Operations at Emergence Health Network. In every role, he championed organizational integrity, operational excellence, and environments where staff and clients can thrive.

His commitment to service began long before his nonprofit leadership. Enrique dedicated 20 years to the El Paso Police Department, retiring after a distinguished career centered on protecting and uplifting the community he calls home. His academic path reflects the same drive. He earned both his bachelor’s and graduate degrees from The University of Texas at El Paso and recently completed his Doctorate in Business Administration, a milestone that speaks to his lifelong pursuit of growth, wisdom, and leadership.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Enrique is a proud father of three wonderful children, including a son currently serving as a United States Marine. When he is not working, you will likely find him riding his motorcycle, running, or spending time with his two beloved fur babies. His life is grounded in faith, compassion, and a servant‑leadership mindset that guides every decision he makes.

As he steps into his role at YLM, Enrique carries a belief that resonates deeply with the mission’s heart. “True leadership is not measured by titles, but by the positive impact we leave on the lives of others.”

With Enrique leading the way, YLM is entering a season filled with promise. His leadership brings experience, warmth, humility, and a genuine desire to serve. These qualities align beautifully with YLM’s mission of changing lives every day through simple acts of kindness.

The future feels bright, and we are grateful to walk into it with Enrique at the helm.

At YLM, we believe acts of kindness change lives.

That’s why part of our mission includes coming alongside families facing physical and spiritual needs –both in El Paso and in communities across the border in Mexico. By partnering with local organizations, cross-border churches, and ministries, we can bring God’s tangible love, mercy, and grace through Word and Deed.
