AMBASSADORS FOR YLM

Forty-two years of ministry has forged relationships between Ysleta Lutheran Mission Human Care (YLM) and its supporters. This is especially true with those who participate in YLM’s Servant Event ministry, making the annual trip to serve through YLM, whether in El Paso or Cd. Juarez. The idea of recruiting several of these individuals to help spread the word about YLM and the kingdom work taking place in the border cities became a defined effort called Ambassadors for YLM.

This initiative aims to bring the transformative stories and impactful ministries of YLM to a broader audience, inspiring others to join in their mission of service and love. The excitement surrounding this effort is palpable, with several dedicated Ambassadors already making significant strides. These passionate individuals have set up exhibit tables at various conferences, engaging attendees with heartfelt stories and detailed information about the work being done through YLM. Their enthusiasm and commitment are evident as they share the profound impact YLM has on communities in need.

At present, there are 30 committed Ambassadors, each bringing their unique talents, stories, and experiences to the cause. Their dedication to YLM’s mission is inspiring, and their efforts are already bearing fruit. In the past three months alone, Ambassadors have attended conferences in Greeley, CO, Mequon, WI, and Roseville, MN, making meaningful connections and raising awareness about the important work of YLM. Several of them are scheduled for upcoming conferences in Norfolk, NE, Hales Corners, WI and Breckenridge, CO.

The stories shared by the Ambassadors resonate deeply with attendees. One Ambassador recounted a moving experience from a conference in Greeley, CO, where attendees were visibly moved by the stories of hope and transformation coming out of the YLM ministries. “It’s incredible to see how people respond when they learn about the lives being changed through YLM. You can see the spark of inspiration in their eyes,” they shared.

For these Ambassadors, they’ve expressed the joy of sharing the work God is doing through YLM. Kaye, who attended a Higher Things Conference in Mequon, WI, sent a message to the YLM leadership, thanking them for the opportunity to share YLM with others.

Other Ambassadors are reaching out to churches, schools, and other mission-focused organizations, scheduling presentations during Bible hour, men’s retreats, and mission/outreach events. This has resulted in people interested in more information on several of YLM’s ministries, among them Education, Servant Event, and Mercy Distributions.

Ambassadors for YLM are not just representatives; they are passionate advocates, storytellers, and connectors. Through their efforts, the mission and vision of YLM are reaching new heights, inspiring others to join in support of the transformative work being done. As this initiative continues to grow, the ripple effects of their dedication will undoubtedly bring hope, healing, and positive change to countless lives.
