A little friendly competition, laughter, and fellowship brought 39 people together for Ysleta Lutheran Mission Human Care’s (YLM) first Strike Up Kindness Bowling Fundraising Event.
For two hours, participants enjoyed bowling, pizza, and conversations while cheering each other on and celebrating door prize winners throughout the event. The gathering offered an opportunity to strengthen local relationships and introduce more people to YLM’s work in El Paso and Ciudad Juárez.
As YLM’s first bowling fundraiser, Strike Up Kindness marked the beginning of what we hope will become an annual tradition. Funds raised will help support YLM’s daily operations, including the facilities, transportation, and resources needed to carry out our Mercy, Music, and Missions ministries. These operational needs are essential to keeping our ministries active and serving families and communities on both sides of the border.
We are grateful to Starbloom Bouquets, Falcon Pottery and Art Studio, Wine Down Socorro, and Bodega Loya for generously donating door prizes, adding excitement to the afternoon.
Our sincere thanks also go to our event sponsors, Focal Point Business Coaching, Universal Graphics, Pavement Resources, and Pineda Law Firm, whose sponsorships covered the cost of hosting the event. Their generosity allowed YLM to raise support for its ongoing work while building new connections within the El Paso community.
Beyond the funds raised, Strike Up Kindness created opportunities to introduce YLM’s mission to new friends and potential partners. These relationships are important as we continue inviting our local community to become part of the work God is doing through Mercy, Music, and Missions.
We look forward to next year’s Strike Up Kindness Bowling Fundraising Event and the opportunity to welcome even more participants and community partners.
To everyone who bowled, sponsored, donated, or helped make our first event possible, thank you! Your participation helps YLM continue changing lives every day through simple acts of kindness.
