Hot Meal Program

The Hot Meal Program started in 1984 after a survey of the area revealed a need for help with food, and has been operating nearly every weekday since its inception. From 2007 to 2010, 71,392 meals were served, and over 10,000 of these were provided free to individuals who could not afford the modest fee for the plate.

The program is staffed by volunteers under the direction of Diana Ramos and supported by donations from across the country.  The program is a not-for-profit service to the community and one of the most frequently utilized functions of YLM.
